Another win in Hoofddorp with Victoria Gardens

Following the successful completion of Tudorpark and our winning plan for Victoriapark, we are once again designing for De Parken in Hoofddorp. With Victoria Gardens, we bring another romantic residential neighbourhood to Hoofddorp. The winning design consists of 180 homes, designed in a contemporary Victorian style, situated in a lushes and intimate garden.

The Victorians also adopted the principles of indoor-outdoor architecture
In the 19th century, the extensive Victorian knowledge of nature’s exotic richness through its many plants was shipped to England and placed in greenhouses, pavilions, and conservatories. The new residents of Victoria Gardens will experience sustainable living amidst our own nature. We are translating the archetype of greenhouses, conservatories, and pavilions into modern and romantic homes with organic shapes and abundant glass facades. Each home will be situated on a garden or landscaped area.

Bringing generations together
Victoria Gardens will accommodate five generations: from first-time buyers to seniors. The neighbourhood is designed to bring these different generations together. With accessible walking paths, sports areas, playgrounds, individual gardens, and serene seating areas, there’s something for everyone.

Green in abundance
Sustainability is a key theme in Victoria Gardens. For example, the homes are built with sustainable materials. For first-time buyers, homes will be constructed with CLT and reusable CO2-negative unbaked bricks. Rainwater will be collected for flushing toilets. To further green the neighbourhood, KlimbKlinker bricks will be placed into the walls to help plants grow tall and the apartment blocks will have green roofs.

Victoria Gardens is being developed in collaboration with Atelier Loos van Vliet, Dura Vermeer midden-west and the municipality of Haarlemmermeer.
